First Appellate Authority (FAA)

If an applicant is aggrieved by the decision of the PIO or does not receive a response within the stipulated time, an appeal can be filed before the First Appellate Authority (FAA) within 30 days.

Important Points for RTI Applications

• A request must be submitted in writing or through electronic means (if applicable) in Hindi or English.
• A prescribed fee (typically ₹10/-) must accompany the application, payable through a Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque/Indian Postal Order in favour of the appropriate authority.
• The PIO is required to respond to the request within **30 days** of its receipt.
